Hope everyone had a lovely Easter. We had a great time at the first ever Bazaar at The Waiting Room. There was a fantastic array of both food and art for sale. Stall holders enjoyed a fabulous brunch made by The Gamekeeper's Daughter.
Good Souls can't wait to get back into The Waiting Room kitchen this Thursday. Despite being very nervous for our first week, we had a gorgeous crowd in, who were incredibly kind and patient with our teething problems. Have to say both the Easter and Passover bakes proved very popular but there was great demand for Mrs Taibel's Cinnamon Treats. The cinnamon almond balls recipe was kindly given to me by my very dear friend, Alex, yes, THE Mrs Taibel. This is a family Passover recipe and these little bites are scrumptious and gluten-free. They will return.
This Thursday's star bake will be none other than Naan bread. Who can resist the pillowy, leavened flatbread and this will be accompanying a curried lentil soup. Of course, there will also be many globally inspired bakes, a great selection of teas and coffee, plus a fully licensed bar. And we will be a little less nervous this time.
