To honour this event, our star bake will be Printer’s Pie. For those in the know, Printer’s Pie is the old print term for a pile of spilled type. Now nobody wants to eat a lot of lead so I will be bestowing the Printer’s Pie moniker on a delicious feta and spinach, filo topped pie. Other available dishes will be Letterpress Lovage Pea Soup, a delicious spring pea soup with lovage that was picked and kindly donated from my friend Nel’s Colchester garden, and Typeface Tart, featuring a cheesy pastry, peas and spring onions. Really hope you can make the launch to enjoy the wonderful display of work and our letterpress themed savoury bakes. along with globally inspired cakes, breads, teas, coffees and a fully licensed bar.
